Overview of Gulu District

Gulu District is located in northern Uganda between longitude 30-32 degrees east; latitude 02-4 degrees north.
It is bordered by Amuru and Nwoya district in the west and southwest respectively , Lamwo district in the north east, Pader district in the east, Lira district in the south east and Oyam district in the south.

The   Development   plan   has   been   prepared   in   consultation   with stakeholders and especially the local communities. It takes into account the  National  Development  Plans  (NDP)  the  Peace,  Recovery  and  Development  Plan  (PRDP)  for Northern  Uganda  and  Millennium  Development  Goals  (MDGS)  and  theDistrict  Budget  Framework Papers.
